Within the Czech and world context, the city of Zlín is exceptional. The Bat'a era in particular contributed greatly to the creation of an unmistakable industrial, but also architectural and urban phenomenon, whose values we respect and develop in our design. By adding a new layer, we build on the existing ones, add the necessary ones and create the conditions for a rapidly changing future world.
The spirit of the city and its undeniable futuristic legacy is a privilege that has been eroded over the last fifty years by the dilution of building activity and individual construction more or less respecting its principles. The city of the future, which Bata's vision has materialized into a unique reality, is complemented by an urban and clearly definable district that builds on this legacy. And similarily to Baťa’s approach, we are implementing new architectural and technological principles that transform this legacy into reality and set the direction for future development.
